Alden Hellmuth ist Saxophonistin, Komponistin und Improvisatorin und lebt derzeit in Los Angeles. Die aus Hartford, Connecticut, stammende Musikerin absolvierte ihr Bachelorstudium am Jackie McLean Institute der Hartt School und absolviert derzeit ihr Masterstudium am Herbie Hancock Institute der UCLA. Sie ist weltweit aufgetreten und stand bereits mit Dianne Reeves, Herbie Hancock, Josh Evans, Dezron Douglas, Pablo Held und vielen anderen auf der Bühne.

Alden wurden zahlreiche Auszeichnungen und Förderungen zuteil, darunter der Herb Alpert Young Jazz Composer Award der ASCAP (2024), die Halbfinalteilnahme beim New Music USA Next Jazz Legacy (2022) und das Focusyear-Stipendium (2021–22). Seit 2016 nimmt sie an zahlreichen Programmen teil, die sich der Förderung und Stärkung von Künstlerinnen widmen, darunter die Women In Jazz Organization und der Dorothy Goodwin Fund.

Alden Hellmuth is a saxophonist, composer, and improviser who currently lives in Los Angeles. Originally from Hartford, Connecticut, the musician earned her bachelor’s degree at the Jackie McLean Institute at the Hartt School and is currently pursuing her master’s degree at the Herbie Hancock Institute at UCLA. She has performed worldwide and has shared the stage with Dianne Reeves, Herbie Hancock, Josh Evans, Dezron Douglas, Pablo Held, and many others.
Alden has received numerous awards and grants, including the ASCAP Herb Alpert Young Jazz Composer Award (2024), a spot as a semifinalist in the New Music USA Next Jazz Legacy competition (2022), and the Focusyear Fellowship (2021–22). Since 2016, she has participated in numerous programs dedicated to promoting and empowering female artists, including the Women In Jazz Organization and the Dorothy Goodwin Fund.
