ANYBODY WALKING? was founded in 2018 under the original name "Voguing in Hessen" and has since been instrumental in cultivating the local ballroom scene in Hesse and beyond.

In addition to regular meet-ups and training sessions, the initiative has contributed significantly to the transmission of ballroom culture –
organizing workshops with renowned national and international ballroom artists, such as Icon Arturo Mugler, Legendary Diva Ivy Balenciaga, and Legendary Leo Saint Laurent,
often in collaboration with local dance schools.

Over the years, its members have participated in countless balls across Europe and overseas.

With the growing community in Frankfurt, it became possible to host smaller events (Practice Balls) and, in the previous year, the first Kiki Ball in the city.

ANYBODY WALKING? collaborates with local institutions such as Mousonturm,
as well as initiatives like LLL e.V., the feminist DJ collective GG VYBE, and the Frankfurt-based artist collective c.c.bb.069.

The group also acts as speakers and educators on ballroom and queer culture in the Frankfurt region.

Die Initiative „ANYBODY WALKING?“ wurde 2018 unter dem ursprünglichen Namen „Voguing in Hessen“ gegründet
und hat seitdem die lokale Ballroom-Szene in Hessen und Umgebung kultiviert.

Neben regelmäßigen Treffen und Trainings hat sie aktiv zur Weitergabe der Ballroom-Künste beigetragen –
unter anderem durch Workshops mit namhaften nationalen und internationalen Künstler*innen der Ballroom-Community
wie Icon Arturo Mugler, Legendary Diva Ivy Balenciaga oder Legendary Leo Saint Laurent,
oft in Kooperation mit lokalen Tanzschulen.

Die Mitglieder haben im Laufe der Jahre an zahllosen Balls in Europa und Übersee teilgenommen.

Mit dem Wachstum der Community in Frankfurt wurde es möglich, kleinere Events (Practice Balls) sowie im letzten Jahr den ersten Kiki Ball in Frankfurt zu veranstalten.

ANYBODY WALKING? kooperiert mit lokalen Organisationen wie dem Mousonturm,
sowie Initiativen wie LLL e.V., dem feministischen DJ-Kollektiv GG VYBE
und dem Frankfurter Künstler*innen-Kollektiv c.c.bb.069.

Zudem agieren sie als Referent*innen für Ballroom- und queere Kultur im Raum Frankfurt.
