Funk Montez Haus Band: Frankfurt’s Answer to Modern Funk

The Funk Montez Haus Band represents a bold new funk sound from Frankfurt – raw, energetic, and handmade.
Founded and curated by Noah Eliyas, the project brings together musicians from various regional bands with one shared mission: putting the groove at the center of everything. The concept is clear – no retro nostalgia, but a contemporary, instrumental interpretation of funk that’s made to move people, especially in a live setting.

After a celebrated performance at their last event, where they impressed the audience with an all-instrumental set, the project is now evolving further:
Enter Born, a rapper and performer from New Jersey. He brings a fresh impulse to the stage as both host and occasional performer. When the moment is right, Born jumps in with short rap interludes, adding a new layer of energy and creating a strong connection between the band and the audience.

The musicians come from different Frankfurt-based bands, each bringing their own unique influences and strengths.
What unites them is a shared love for funk and a tight, focused performance style. This is not about big showmanship – it’s about groove, collaboration, and the magic of the moment on stage.

This is funk that doesn’t dwell in the past – it celebrates the now. Made in Frankfurt.

Die Funk Montez Haus Band steht für den neuen, selbstbewussten Funk-Sound aus Frankfurt – roh, energetisch und handgemacht.
Gegründet und kuratiert von Noah Eliyas, bringt das Projekt Musiker*innen aus verschiedenen regionalen Bands zusammen, um gemeinsam den Groove ins Zentrum des Geschehens zu stellen.

Die Idee: kein Retro-Funk, sondern eine zeitgemäße, instrumentale Interpretation, die live vor allem eins will – bewegen.

Nach ihrem gefeierten Auftritt bei der letzten Veranstaltung, bei dem sie mit einem rein instrumentalen Set das Publikum überzeugten, wächst das Projekt nun weiter:
