(de) Mari Froes ist eine brasilianische Singer-Songwriterin, deren Kompositionen eine unverkennbare künstlerische Handschrift tragen. Mit viel Feingefühl und klarem Blick bewegt sie sich durch die rhythmische Vielfalt der brasilianischen Musik und schafft so eine Klangwelt, die zugleich berührt und inspiriert. Ihren musikalischen Auftakt machte Froes 2019 mit den Singles „Moça“ und „Rosa e Laranja“. Ein Jahr später folgte ihre erste EP „Nebulosa“, ein atmosphärisch dichtes Werk mit fünf ineinandergreifenden Tracks, das inzwischen über 13 Millionen Streams verzeichnet. Zuvor hatte sie bereits mit Rodrigo Alarcon bei dem Song „15b“ zusammengearbeitet. Ihre Live-Premiere feierte sie mit Auftritten beim Festival Bananada (GO) sowie zwei ausverkauften Shows im Teatro Bruta Flor (SP). Im März 2023 tourte Mari Froes gemeinsam mit Agnes Nunes erstmals durch Europa – die Konzerte waren restlos ausverkauft. Rolling Stone Brasil lobte ihre Debüt-EP mit den Worten: „Froes’ Stimme ist reif, mit einer natürlichen Schwere und einem charmanten Kratzen hier und da. Mari Froes hat ein ganzes Universum vor sich – und sie hat die Entschlossenheit, es zu erobern.“ Im digitalen Raum zählt Froes zu den vielversprechendsten Newcomerinnen Brasiliens: Mit über 100 Millionen Views auf YouTube und mehr als 800.000 Abonnent*innen begeistert sie ein stetig wachsendes Publikum – nicht nur in ihrer Heimat, sondern auch international. Besonders in Ländern wie Kolumbien, Mexiko und Portugal hat sie sich eine treue Fanbase aufgebaut – ein deutliches Zeichen dafür, dass Mari Froes’ Kunst sprach- und grenzenlos wirkt.

Dieses Konzert ist Teil der durch den Kulturfonds Frankfurt RheinMain geförderten Jazz is My Democracy Reihe die im Rahmen des dreimonatigen Konzertprojekts Jazzklub im Museum Angewandte Kunst stattfindet. Im Vorfeld des Konzertes wird Mari Froes vor dem Publikum eine halbe Stunde interviewt. 

An diesem Abend finden zwei Shows statt:
Erste Show: Einlass ab 18:30 Uhr, Beginn um 19:30 Uhr.
Zweite Show: Einlass ab 21:30 Uhr, Beginn um 22:00 Uhr.

Es wird noch ein paar wenige Tickets an der Abendkasse geben die ab 18 Uhr geöffnet sein wird. 

(en) Mari Froes is a Brazilian singer-songwriter. The artist brings compositions that carry a unique identity as she moves through Brazilian rhythms with sensitivity and insight.
In 2019, Froes released the first two tracks of her career, the singles “Moça” and “Rosa e Laranja”. In 2020, he released his first EP “Nebulosa”, featuring five tracks that complement each other, totalling more than 13 million streams. Before that, he collaborated with Rodrigo Alarcon on the song “15b”. He made his stage debut with shows at the Bananada Festival (GO) and two sold-out sessions at the Bruta Flor Theatre (SP). In March 2023, she made her first tour of Europe together with Agnes Nunes, with sold-out shows.

There will be two shows that evening:
First show: Doors open at 6:30 PM, starts at 7:30 PM.
Second show: Doors open at 9:30 PM, starts at 10:00 PM.
A limited number of tickets will also be available at the box office from 6 pm.

This concert is part of the Jazz Is My Democracy series, funded by the Kulturfonds Frankfurt RheinMain, which takes place within the three-month concert project Jazzklub at the Museum Angewandte Kunst. Prior to the concert, Mari Froes will be interviewed live in front of the audience for half an hour.
