Momoko Gill:
Momoko Gill ist eine autodidaktische Schlagzeugerin, Produzentin, Songwriterin und Sängerin, deren Zusammenarbeit mit Matthew Herbert, Alabaster DePlume, Coby Sey, Tirzah und Nadeem Din-Gabisi – neben ausgiebigen Tourneen als Schlagzeugerin, Keyboarderin und Sängerin – ihren unverwechselbaren Ansatz in Komposition und Produktion geprägt hat. Nun tritt sie mit ihrem eigenen Soloprojekt in den Vordergrund und schlägt damit ein neues Kapitel in ihrer künstlerischen Entwicklung auf. Obwohl stark vom Jazz beeinflusst, lehnt Gill Nachahmung ab und formt ihren Sound eher durch Gefühl und Ausdruck als durch Tradition. Sie hat ihre Fähigkeiten in den Bereichen Harmonie, Schlagzeug, Keyboard und Gesang durch Instinkt, Zusammenarbeit und eigenständiges Studium entwickelt und strebt nach Klarheit sowohl in ihren musikalischen Ideen als auch im Geschichtenerzählen.
Mit einer Stimme, die sowohl Intimität als auch Tiefe vermittelt, erweitert Momoko weiterhin die Grenzen zwischen Genres, Geschichtenerzählen und klanglichen Experimenten und bahnt sich so ihren ganz eigenen Weg.

Matthew Hebert:
Matthew Herbert ist ein preisgekrönter Komponist, Künstler, Produzent und Autor, dessen innovatives Schaffen von mehr als 30 Alben (darunter das vielgelobte „Bodily Functions“) über Filmmusik für Oscar-prämierte Filme („A Fantastic Woman“) bis hin zu Musik für das National Theatre, den Broadway, Fernsehserien („Noughts and Crosses“, „The Responder“ für die BBC), Spiele (Lego) und das Radio reicht. Er ist weltweit als Solist, als DJ und mit verschiedenen Musikern aufgetreten, darunter seine eigene 21-köpfige Big Band und ein 100-köpfiger Chor, von der Oper in Sydney bis zum Hollywood Bowl, und hat Installationen, Theaterstücke und Opern geschaffen.

Momoko Gill:
Mokoko Gill is a self-taught drummer, producer, songwriter, and singer whose collaborations with Matthew Herbert, Alabaster DePlume, Coby Sey, Tirzah, and Nadeem Din-Gabisi—along with extensive touring as a drummer, keyboardist, and singer—have shaped her distinctive approach to composition and production. Now she is stepping into the spotlight with her own solo project, opening a new chapter in her artistic development. Although heavily influenced by jazz, Gill rejects imitation and shapes her sound through feeling and expression rather than tradition. She has developed her skills in harmony, drums, keyboard, and vocals through instinct, collaboration, and independent study, and strives for clarity in both her musical ideas and her storytelling.
With a voice that conveys both intimacy and depth, Momoko continues to push the boundaries between genres, storytelling, and sonic experimentation, forging her own unique path.
