NdaNane Percussion ist ein traditionelles westafrikanisches Drum- und Performance-Kollektiv, angeführt vom senegalesischen Percussionisten und Sänger Khadim Seck. Als langjähriger Teil der vernetzten Frankfurter Underground- und Kulturszene bringt das Kollektiv die Energie senegalesischer Musiktraditionen in zeitgenössische deutsche Kunst- und Kulturkontexte.
Im Zentrum ihrer Musik steht der Sabar, eine traditionelle Trommel aus dem Senegal, die historisch auch als komplexes Kommunikationsmittel zwischen Dörfern diente. Heute nutzt das Kollektiv diese vielschichtigen, schnellen und kraftvollen Rhythmen, um ekstatische, körperliche Tanzmomente zu erzeugen.
NdaNane Percussion ist fest in der Frankfurter Kulturlandschaft verankert und hat bereits mehrfach mit uns im Rahmen von Jazz Montez zusammengearbeitet. Wir freuen uns sehr, diese Zusammenarbeit auch beim Holidays 26 Festival fortzuführen. Darüber hinaus sind sie ein wiederkehrender Live-Act beim interkulturellen Format El Barrio de Europa, wo sie mit ihren Open-Air-Sets diverse, generationsübergreifende Publikums Situationen prägen.

NdaNane Percussion is a traditional West African drum and performance collective led by Senegalese percussionist and singer Khadim Seck. As a long-standing part of Frankfurt’s interconnected underground and cultural scene, the collective brings high-energy Senegalese musical traditions into contemporary German art and performance contexts.
At the core of their music is the Sabar, a traditional drum from Senegal historically used as a complex form of long-distance communication between villages. Today, the collective transforms its fast, layered, and intricate rhythms into ecstatic, physical dance experiences.
NdaNane Percussion is deeply embedded in Frankfurt’s cultural landscape and has already collaborated frequently with us at Jazz Montez. We are very happy to continue this collaboration going forward at the Holidays 26 festival. They are also a recurring live act at the cross-cultural format El Barrio de Europa, where their open-air performances bring together diverse and intergenerational audiences.
