JADA X JAXX

Jaxx TMS - Berlin based Music Curator, DJ, Broadcaster and founder of Inner City Expressions, is well known for her wide musical range and her passion for bringing cultural and community work together. Very significant for Jaxx TMS is her love for Dance Music, taking influences from the raw energy of it’s roots the 90s House Music as much as contemporary House & electronic uplifting genres with focus on UK and US. Due to her strong Caribbean, British & Spanish background, Jaxx came across genres like Lovers Rock, Jazz, Soul, Broken Beat or Hip Hop pretty early. To honor the sound that shaped her, she started her own Mix Series "EXPRESSIONS", which is now her Radio Show on Refuge Worldwide and becoming an Event starting in August 2023.

Jada is a multidisciplinary artist known for her vibrant selection. Her characteristically joyful sets consist of catchy grooves and soulful nuances between house, breakbeat and bass music. Blending r&b, rap, baile funk and afro influences inbetween she dives into the spectrum of subgenres and conceptualizes new soundscapes - the intersection of progressive dance music. The hamburg based artist, dancer, curator and ballroom kid with afro-brazilian heritage evolved in a short time frame in different contexts such as Boiler Room, Majestic, MELT! Festival aswell as a DJ for ballroom events.
